Last Spring I photographed Laura and Rob’s Engagement Shoot at Kew Gardens, London. Their first date and proposal took place at Kew Gardens so it was somewhere very special to them.

I adore Kew Gardens; there are so many different spots for photographs and of course the flowers are stunning too. It is very spacious at Kew so it’s the ideal place to get away from the crowds and a stone throw away from Richmond.

I love framing my couples with trees and flowers; it is such a beautiful way of showing off the location of the shoot. We were so lucky that the blossom trees were perfectly bloomed during our shoot but this also drew a lot of attention to them at Kew.

There are vast areas of space where you won’t bump into another soul; perfect for an engagement shoot in London.

Temperate House is one of my favourite locations at Kew Gardens. The trees and white railings really are beautiful.

We strolled for a while; discussing L&R’s wedding plans whilst finding quieter spots, we found this beautiful area full of flowers and I was obsessed.

I couldn’t recommend a better location if you’re looking to have a floral, outdoors, relaxed engagement shoot. There is a small free to shoot at Kew Gardens but it really is worth every penny.
