A proposal on the Cliffs of Moher

Ben asked Jamie and I to come on his trip to Ireland to propose to Lauren a while ago, of course we said yes! Lauren is originally from Ireland so this was the perfect location for a proposal.

We spent the day travelling through County Clare; stopping wherever we fancied on the way. We eventually headed up to the coast where Ben proposed to Lauren on the Cliffs of Moher. We found a quiet, deserted area which was absolutely perfect.

Fast forward an hour we raced down to Doolin to surprise Lauren even further with 20 friends and family from across Ireland and the UK waiting to congratulate them in a local bar. Lauren’s face was an absolute picture when she realised how much thought Ben had put into this whole proposal. We spent the evening celebrating in the local pubs, enjoying the trad music and even trying some Irish dancing.

The next day we headed off to Limerick where we celebrated even further in Lauren’s home town where she introduced us to some amazing bars (Copper Room and 101 – on my travel blog soon!).

The following day we continued on the Wild Atlantic Way stopping at The Conor Pass on our way to Cork for our final meal of the holiday.
