A Wedding at The West Mill Wedding Venue

October 9, 2019

Charlotte got ready in the bridal suite at the West Mill Wedding Venue and I couldn’t resist taking photos of her Jimmy Choos using the architecture of the building. Her floral bouquet by Nadia was breathtaking and smelt absolutely incredible; cannot recommend Nadia enough!

Jamie captured Tom’s prep at a local hotel a stones throw away from the venue before they headed to the pub for a quick pint.

The Ceremony:

The ceremony was perfectly lit for a late August wedding day with a wonderful floral installation by Nadia. There was plenty of room during the ceremony for two photographers and two videographers an additional video camera on a tripod. We were all able to work together to get the perfect end result. I highly recommend Jason – a great videographer.

The Confetti Shot:

Charlotte and Tom had been dreaming of seeing ‘the confetti shot’ and I’m so pleased to get them ‘one of their dreams’ – thanks to Jamie second shooting for me. We were lucky the rain had stopped just before we went outside for our portraits and magic tricks by Paul.

The wedding group shot:
Jason and I had to squeeze into a very tight little room to get this shot of all the guests; straight after confetti or just before going in for dinner is the perfect time to do a shot like this – you can guarantee everyone will be there!

Charlotte and Tom’s love for gin heavily influenced the reception room details; Nadia incorporated flowers into the design perfectly.

My favourite part of the day; we were unlucky at first as the sun was blocked by some buildings next to the mill so I decided we had to go slightly further afield to get the shots we wanted. Charlotte and Tom were very happy to take a walk up the lane to a nearby field for some fun! Thankfully the West Mill Wedding Venue was close to some open fields on a higher part of land. My natural light, relaxed photography style really shows here; at this point in the day we were all having fun, laughing and running through the fields. Such a wonderful way to start the evening!

Charlotte and Tom’s first dance was wonderful in this room; the west mill’s evening room is perfect as there is a lot of space for dancing and also sitting!

The West Mill Venue is now one of my favourite venues to photograph in and I really hope I get to become a regular West Mill Wedding Photographer.
