Ca’s Xorc wedding venue in Mallorca

April 20, 2023

If you’re looking for the best place to get married in Mallorca, I think I’ve found it.

On the West coast of Mallorca, perched high upon the hills between the mountains and the sea, you’ll find the luxury wedding venue of Ca’s Xorc. Between the exquisitely restored 18th Century farmhouse, the beautiful gardens and the spectacular views, this hidden gem might just be the most beautiful wedding venue in Mallorca.

The lemon-scented air is warm and soft. Vibrant flowers climb the farmhouse walls, and pour from terracotta pots. There’s two donkeys for neighbours! And whenever the trees part, you get the most incredible views across the hills and down to the distant sea.

If you’re dreaming of getting married in Mallorca, you may have just found your venue. Come take a look…

A blend of historic charm and modern luxury

There are 13 rooms and two cottages spread across the estate. And if you’re having your wedding in Ca’s Xorc, you can hire the whole place exclusively for you and your guests. So before we start talking about the gardens, the pool, and the (simply incredible!) food, let’s talk about the rooms.

For centuries, Ca’s Xorc was a working olive oil mill. Pressing olives picked from the groves on the sundrenched hills below. In 1998, the historical Spanish finca was lovingly restored, stone-by-stone, to become the exceptional retreat it is today.

And it really is exceptional. Each room has been individually designed to celebrate its original architectural features. From the wooden beams and polished stone floors, to the huge windows and stunning balconies. It manages to blend its rural historic charm seamlessly with modern luxuries and comfort. A weekend here will be an experience you and your guests will never forget.

**If you do get married here, they’ll give you a voucher for a one-night stay on your first anniversary as a wedding gift. So you even get to come back!

The food is incredible!

Before they bought Ca’s Xorc, the Ponzke family had a restaurant in the nearby town of Soller. They still have that restaurant, and it now has a Michelin star…let’s just say, these guys really know their food!

The venue’s gourmet restaurant uses herbs and vegetables grown in the garden, and all the seafood is locally sourced as well. We had a meal in the restaurant while we were there. And honestly, it was unbelievable.

They offer a variety of menus for weddings, from traditional Spanish cuisine to modern fusion. If you can’t make it over there for a menu tasting before your big day, I’d recommend trusting them without hesitation! There wasn’t a single thing we ordered that wasn’t *lick the plate* amazing.

Your Ca’s Xorc wedding photos will be out of this world

As a fine-art wedding photographer, the clarity of the light and the Mediterranean colour palette are an absolute dream to work with. The soft terracottas, whites, and faded greens, punctuated with vibrant splashes of reds, yellows, and pinks. I’ll be honest, you can go to any half-decent wedding venue in Mallorca and the photos will look good.

But having your wedding in Ca’s Xorc will take your wedding photography to a whole other level. It’s not just about how the place looks, it’s how it makes you feel.

The gardens are intimate, peaceful, and stunningly beautiful. With their ancient olive trees, abandoned giant pots and ivy-covered walls. You’ll feel like you have the most romantic corner of the world all to yourselves.

And then there’s the balconies. With their breathtaking views across the countryside and down to the glittering sea. Whether you want to escape there together after your ceremony or have that as the setting for your first look, the balconies are unmissable as well. Then there’s the pool, the courtyard… exploring that place as a newly married couple will be an experience you’ll never forget. And the photos will be out of this world.

Mallorca is the perfect place for an adventure shoot

Mallorca is a beautiful island, with mountains and beaches, wooded hillsides and dramatic cliffs. Even if you’re getting married somewhere as downright-gorgeous as Ca’s Xorc, it’d be a shame if all you ever saw was the venue.

That’s why, if I shoot your destination wedding, I’ll always offer to join you for an extra little adventure shoot either day before or the day after. Just so we can go exploring together, have some fun, and make the most of your incredible location. After all, “adventure is out there!”

So the day after our styled shoot at Ca’s Xorc, I headed out with Victoria and Dani to catch the sunset on the North side of the island. Wind brushed its way through the long grass, and the sound of goat bells carried across the rocky slopes. Victoria and Dani kissed, laughed and cuddled in the fading golden light. And on the horizon, the sun sunk its way slowly into the sea. It was a truly magical way to end the trip.

Things you should know about having your wedding in Ca’s Xorc

  • It’s adults only (16+). If there are children you can’t imagine your day without, this isn’t the venue for you. If you’re secretly looking for an excuse not to invite children, you’ve found it!
  • It’s really well situated. Only 40 minutes from Palma airport, and just 10 minutes drive down to the beach and the yacht harbour of Port de Soller. The address is: Crta. de Deia, Km. 56.1, 07100 Sóller – Mallorca.
  • You have a variety of ceremony options. My personal favourite would have to be an outdoor ceremony in the gardens! But bear in mind, at the height of summer, the heat can get uncomfortably oppressive, so best to get married late afternoon (4pm). You can also have your ceremony in the dining room, or in the soft shade of the Moroccan tent.
  • They host weddings between 75-100 guests; apparently predominantly British couples.
