The Libertine Wedding Photography
The City of London is a picturesque spot which is perfect for a wedding reception and ideal for a candid wedding photography like myself- all backdrops are breathtaking with minimal direction. The Libertine is an underground bar and restaurant connected to the Royal Exchange which provides a drinks reception, dinner and dancing.
Bridal Prep at the Ned
Beth got ready at The Ned which was ideal as it’s a quick minute walk from the Libertine – which meant an evening outfit change was very easy to do. As a candid wedding photographer in London, I love using taxis to capture the inbetween moments too – the Ned was a 20 minute drive from Old Marylebone Town Hall.
Ceremony at One Lombard Street
The Westminster Room can hold up to 100 guests which was ideal for Beth and Matt – the room was at capacity. As a candid wedding photographer with a wealth of experience capturing weddings in London at Old Marylebone Town Hall, I was able to document the ceremony smoothly as I know the routine of a wedding at the town hall. My experience enables more photography to be captured as I am not wondering what is happening next.
After Beth and Matt were married, we took a handful of family portraits, bridesmaid portraits and couple portraits in the alcoves – the couples one location request whilst waiting for the route master to arrive to transport the guests on to the Libertine.
London Candid Wedding Photography
We had a matter of minutes to take these couple portraits before heading into the Libertine for the drinks reception. The City area works really well for couple portraits – particularly on the weekend as there are far less people around.

Once the couple portraits were complete, we headed to the Libertine for the couples grand entrance into the reception.
