Middleton Lodge Wedding Photographer
There’s something incredibly special about stripping a wedding right back to what truly matters. No big guest list, no pressure—just the two of you and the people who mean the most. This intimate celebration at Middleton Lodge was exactly that, and honestly, it was one of those days that quietly stays with you. I have captured another Intimate Wedding day here and it looked so different with a ceremony in the Forge.
If you’re searching for Middleton Lodge wedding photography, this is such a beautiful example of how meaningful a smaller, more personal wedding can be,
Golden Hour Portraits
Later in the evening, we made our way over to the Walled Garden—and the light did not disappoint.
Golden hour here is always something special, but on this day it felt even more magical. Soft, warm light filled the gardens, wrapping everything in that dreamy glow that photographers quietly hope for all day.
It was the perfect way to end such an intimate celebration. Just the two of them, wandering through the gardens, taking it all in.

A Peaceful Start in the Main House
A First Look & That Staircase Momenthe day began in one of the suites inside the Main House at Middleton Lodge, and it couldn’t have felt more calm. Bridal prep here is always a dream—soft light pouring through the windows, elegant interiors, and plenty of space to just be in the moment.
With only parents there, the atmosphere was so relaxed. No rush, no noise—just quiet excitement, a few happy tears, and those lovely little in-between moments that often get lost in bigger weddings.
A First Look & That Staircase Moment
One of my favourite parts of the whole day was the first look.
Tucked away inside the Main House, it was such an emotional, genuine moment—no audience, just the two of them seeing each other for the first time. These are the moments that never feel staged, and they’re always some of the most powerful to photograph.
And then… the walk down the spiral staircase with her dad.
If you know Middleton Lodge, you’ll know exactly how beautiful this spot is. Elegant, timeless, and full of character—it made for the most incredible entrance. There was something so quietly emotional about that walk, just the two of them before stepping into the ceremony.

An Intimate Ceremony Inside the Main House
The ceremony itself took place inside the Main House, with just their parents as witnesses.
It felt deeply personal—every word, every glance, every little smile carried so much weight because there were so few people in the room. No distractions, just genuine connection.
These are the kinds of ceremonies that remind you what weddings are really about.

Drinks in the Bar & Relaxed Portraits
After the ceremony, we moved into the bar area for drinks, which was the perfect setting to keep that relaxed, intimate feel going. It almost felt like a cosy afternoon together rather than a formal reception—and that’s exactly what made it so lovely.
We took portraits both inside and around the Main House, making the most of its beautiful interiors and the surrounding grounds. One of the things I love most about Middleton Lodge wedding photography is the variety—it works just as beautifully indoors as it does outside, whatever the season.
