Following on from my previous post about planning the perfect London Engagement Shoot I have a new fresh blog from my shoot last week at Kew Gardens. Typically, I try to shoot in Spring at Kew Gardens but with the recent pandemic we had to postpone our shoot until mid Summer! There were so many blooming rose bushes, It was the perfect backdrop for Jess and Charlie’s Engagement Shoot.
We arrived at Kew Gardens at the opening to ensure we got some photographs with fewer crowds and to avoid the bright midday sun.
Kew Gardens Engagement Shoot
I loved photographing Jess and Charlie amongst the rose bushes outside the Palm House at the end of our shoot – I always get the most relaxed shots at this point as my couples are feeling a lot more relaxed and happy to be in front of the camera. Amongst photographing I also try my best to really get to know my couples so that I can portray them better with my camera, including exciting upcoming wedding plans (If the shoot is a pre-wedding shoot this is the perfect opportunity to finalise some ideas and truly understand your wedding day plans.
I can’t wait to capture some more engagement shoots and pre-wedding shoots this year before a very busy 2021 wedding season! Tomorrow I am off to Botany Bay, Kent for a very special couple shoot! If you’d like to book your engagement shoot in the UK or discuss wedding photography do get in touch with me!
