A glorious Summer Wedding at South Farm

January 1, 2021

Are all Summer weddings at South Farm like this? If so, I would love to photograph them!

Lucy and Waynes’ Summer wedding in South Cambridgeshire was just wonderful!

Their day was full of Summer touches with Dahlias for days from JCCambridge flooded the area of the ceremony, including across the pond at the pergola. This was an extraordinary touch as Lucy and Wayne had grown some of their own flowers, which the florist combined with their own for the wedding day at South Farm.

South Farm is the perfect Summer wedding venue

The front of the farm house at South Farm is undeniably my favourite location at the venue for portraits; whether that be family photos or couple portraits! The yellow walls and blue painted window frames really pop and make you feel like you’re in the South of France. If you peer around the corner you will discover some beautifully landscaped gardens that look great at any time of year; this is always some flower interest and colours coming from somewhere. Not to forget the allotment which has some very interesting plants to use in the backdrops for portraits.

Being a natural, relaxed wedding photographer is a dream at South Farm with lots of spaces for you to explore – away from the guests which is perfect if you’d like there to have a quiet minute or two. It is also easy to get that big group photo if you so wish – straight after confetti head over to the courtyard as a group and I will appear upstairs and photograph out of the window!
